The ‘Japanese Spirea’, as this deciduous shrub is often known, is loved particularly for its clusters of deep pink flowers which appear in profusion during late summer. Spiraea japonica ‘Anthony Waterer’ also has the added attraction of mid-green foliage which can sometimes be variegated with a touch of cream and even pink!
